Double tipping bucket rain sensor water-bearing calibre Ф200 ± 0.6mm, the measurement range of up to 0-4mm/min (precipitation intensity), the resolution of up to 0.1mm (3.14ml), the accuracy of ± 4% (indoor static test, rain intensity of 2mm/min). It supports a variety of power supply modes, including DC 5V, DC 12V-24V, etc. Other power supply modes are also available upon request. In the form of output, the double tipping bucket rain sensor has a variety of output methods such as switch signal, voltage and RS485 to meet the needs of different application scenarios.
The working principle of Double tipping bucket rain sensor is the improvement of single tipping bucket rain gauge. As the single tipping bucket rain gauge will inject precipitation into the tipping bucket during the tipping process, the rainfall difference in the precipitation is large, which is easy to produce errors. By using multiple tipping buckets, the double tipping bucket rain gauge evenly injects different intensities of natural precipitation into the metering tipping buckets, thus reducing the measurement error due to different precipitation intensities.
Double Tipping Bucket Rain Sensor Dimensions:
Installation of the Double tipping bucket rain sensor is very simple, just follow the steps below:
1. Select the installation location of the sensor according to the actual requirements, such as the ground, homemade large cylinder, iron post flange or the roof of the house;
2. adjust the three levelling screws on the chassis or the fixing screws of the triangular plate so that the levelling bubble indicates level;
3. Follow the schematic diagram to assemble and fix the sensor;
4. After fixing, open the rain barrel, cut off the nylon tie on the funnel, slowly inject water into the rain sensor, observe the tipping process of the bucket, and check whether the data are received on the collection instrument;
5. Inject quantitative water (60-70mm), if the data displayed on the collecting instrument matches with the injected water, it means that the instrument is normal, otherwise it needs to be overhauled and adjusted;
6. Avoid disassembling the sensor during installation.
The working process of Double tipping bucket rain sensor is as follows:
1. The water carrier collects precipitation and enters the upper hopper through the funnel.
2. When the upper hopper reaches the upper limit (0.2mm/0.5mm), it is turned over and the precipitation enters the measuring hopper through the collecting funnel and the throttle tube.
3. the measuring tumbler is turned over once, the amount of precipitation is 0.1mm, and then the precipitation enters into the materialising tumbler from the measuring tumbler;
4. a small magnet is fitted in the centre of the tipping hopper, and a reed switch is fitted at the top of the magnet; when the counting tipping hopper is turned over once, the reed switch closes once, producing a pulse signal;
5. the pulse signal is sent to the counter in the collector for counting, each count is 0.1mm.
Through this series of precise working process, the double tipping bucket rain sensor provides a highly accurate and stable means of precipitation monitoring for meteorological and hydrological fields. It plays an important role in flood control, water supply scheduling, power station reservoir water management and other key areas.
