Instruments and equipment commonly used in meteorological observation stations
In the field of meteorological monitoring, there are many elements that need to be observed. Each meteorological element requires specialized instruments to monitor. Usually, users can customize weather stations with different parameters according to actual needs.
Introduction to Meteorological Observation Station Instruments
The equipment includes three-cup wind speed, wind direction, rain gauge, sunshine hours, atmospheric pressure, UV sensor and so on. The meteorological observation station instruments built in different regions are different, some are used for soil moisture monitoring, and some are used for meteorological disaster warning.
1. Rain gauge
A rain gauge is an instrument used to measure the amount of rainfall over a period of time. The device is usually about 20 cm in diameter, and the whole is cylindrical, with and without a funnel inside. Rain gauges are usually used in meteorological stations (stations), hydrological stations, farmland microclimate monitoring, road traffic meteorological monitoring and many other fields.
2. Wind speed and direction sensor
In the field of meteorological monitoring, not only rain is monitored, but wind is also a very important weather phenomenon. Usually people will install wind speed sensors and wind direction sensors to monitor the two parameters of wind speed and wind direction in real time. The wind speed and direction sensor is usually installed on the bracket of the weather station, and the measured data is collected and transmitted to the weather monitoring platform through the collector.
3. Soil sensor
The meteorological parameters monitored by users are not only on the ground, but also the underground is an important monitoring environment. Therefore, it is necessary to install soil temperature and humidity sensors, soil nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium sensors, and soil pH sensors to monitor relevant data. This type of sensor can be deeply buried in the underground soil environment for long-term data monitoring.
