The Sunshine Pyranometer is a high precision solar radiation measuring instrument designed on the thermoelectric principle. It is capable of accurately measuring total, reflected, scattered, infrared, visible, ultraviolet and longwave radiation from the sun. With its high sensitivity, wide spectral range and stable performance, this instrument is widely used in many fields such as solar energy utilization, meteorological observation, agricultural research, aging of building materials and atmospheric pollution.
- High Absorbance Coating: The core sensing element is a wire-wound electroplated multi-junction thermopile coated with a high absorbance black coating to ensure high efficiency energy conversion.
- Double glass cover design: Reduces the effect of air convection on the radiometer, the inner cover truncates the infrared radiation from the outer cover itself to improve measurement accuracy.
- Wide spectral range: Measurement spectral range is 0.3-3μm, covering the main bands of solar radiation.
- Multiple power supply and output options: support a variety of power supply and output forms to meet the needs of different users.

1. Installation position: Choose a place with open surroundings and without any obstacles above the sensing surface.
2. Orientation Adjustment: Place the cable plug of the Pyranometer facing north, adjust the horizontal position and fix it securely.
3. Connecting equipment: Connect the output cable of TBQ total radiation meter to the collecting equipment, then you can start observing.
4. Cable Fixing: Ensure that the cable is firmly fixed to the mounting bracket to minimize breakage or intermittent interruptions on windy days.
1. Filter Maintenance: Do not remove or loosen the filter to avoid affecting the measurement accuracy. Keep the filter clean and wipe it with a soft cloth or fur.
2. Desiccant Check: Check the desiccant frequently to see if it becomes wet (from blue to red or white), otherwise, replace it in time or take it to the oven to bake it to make it turn back to blue color before use.
3. Waterproof protection: The Sunshine Pyranometer has good waterproof performance, and can be left uncovered for a short period of time or when there is little precipitation. However, in case of heavy rainfall (snow, ice, etc.) or long period of rainfall, it is recommended to add a cover to protect the meter and open it immediately after the rain stops.
4. Periodic calibration: After two years of use, the sensitivity must be re-calibrated by the manufacturer or the measurement department.
