Soil temperature T = (I-4) / 16 × 150 -50

Voltage type (0 to 5V output) Calculation:

Soil humidity R = V/ 5 × 100%

Soil temperature T = V / 5 × 150-50

 Seven, Soil water sensor use and maintenance precautions

- Installation environment: Ensure that the sensor is installed in a representative, easy to maintain the soil location. Avoid installing the sensor in soil areas that will be frequently turned over, such as tillage areas.

- INSTALLATION OPERATION: Before installing the sensor, read the manual carefully and follow the instructions. When installing, make sure the probe is fully inserted into the soil to avoid damage to the probe or cable.

- Power Connection: Make sure the power supply voltage is within the specified DC 12-24V range to avoid over- or under-voltage damage to the sensor. Before connecting the power supply, make sure the power switch is off.

- Output signal cable: When connecting the output signal cable, make sure the cable is connected correctly to avoid short-circuiting or incorrect wiring. For current output, make sure the load resistance meets the specified RL ≤ 250Ω.

- Protection and Maintenance: Check the protection level of the sensor periodically to ensure that there are no breakages to prevent water and soil from entering the sensor interior. Avoid maintenance operations while the sensor is in operation to avoid damage.

- Environmental factors: Considering that soil type, temperature, salinity and other factors may affect the measurement results, perform the necessary calibration before use. Avoid installing the sensor in extreme temperatures or chemically corrosive environments.

- Data reading: When reading data, make sure that the reading device used is compatible with the output signal of the sensor. Periodically check the data logging equipment to ensure that the data is accurate.

- Storage and Transportation: When the sensor is not in use, it should be stored in a dry, clean environment. During transportation, make sure the sensor is fixed securely and avoid violent vibration or impact.
