Agricultural engineers can perform field measurements in the field, and users can do so without laboratory experience. The measured data is linked with GPS coordinates (using a mobile app) and sent via telecommunications to the cloud, where it is securely stored and accessible to the user. This information is easily converted into a machine-readable format, allowing the use of precision agricultural machinery such as fertilizer spreaders and sprayers to automate site-specific variable application rates.
