Agricultural water-saving irrigation technology includes two aspects.
① Engineering water conservation technology: the method of reducing water transmission loss and reducing water loss in the field by modifying the original irrigation engineering facilities or using advanced irrigation engineering facilities. Such as channel impermeability, pipeline water transmission, sprinkler irrigation, micro-sprinkler irrigation, drip irrigation, seepage irrigation, etc.
②Irrigation control technology: through the use of automatic control technology, combined with crop water demand characteristics, geographical environment, soil characteristics and water-saving irrigation system to implement on-demand, timely automatic irrigation control.
Agricultural water-saving irrigation technology is mainly from two aspects to achieve the purpose of water saving.
One is to reduce the seepage losses during water transmission in the field, such as channel seepage control and pipeline water transmission technology.
The second is to reduce the ineffective irrigation process, that is, uniform irrigation or irrigation of the soil near the roots of the crop, generally using sprinkler irrigation for grass and micro-irrigation technology for crops.
The use of engineering water conservation technology can generally improve the utilization of water resources to 50-70%, compared to traditional irrigation methods have been greatly improved, but there is still more than 30% of water waste, and there is still a distance from the high quality and high yield.
This is mainly because this mode of irrigation is still manually controlled, the amount of irrigation is based on experience, can not achieve accurate and efficient irrigation according to the water demand characteristics of crops. This makes the human factor become the main factor affecting the utilization of water resources, when more experienced, more accurate, the utilization of water is high, when the lack of experience in the utilization of water is low.
The development of irrigation control technology can make up for this deficiency in engineering water conservation technology, which uses advanced science and technology, detects soil temperature and humidity, and irrigates according to the geographical environment and the water demand characteristics of crop growth on demand and precisely, which can greatly improve the utilization of water resources and achieve high quality and high yield.
Irrigation control technology enables people to get rid of the traditional irrigation mode which is all based on experience and achieve the purpose of efficient water-saving irrigation, which is very important to alleviate the phenomenon of agricultural water shortage.
