Soil Sensor Selection Guide

Selection of soil sensors for agricultural greenhouses:

The suitable temperature for most crops to grow is between 12°C and 33°C, while the temperature measurement range in the greenhouse is generally 0°C to 80°C, and the humidity measurement range is 0% to 100% RH. The output signal is (4~20)mA, the accuracy is ±0.5℃ for temperature, ±3%RH for humidity, the output signal has good linearity and can be transmitted over long distances.

1. Soil temperature and humidity sensor

Plants mainly rely on the water absorbed by the root system from the soil to supply physiological activities such as plant growth and development, metabolism and transpiration. More than 90% of the water required by plant photosynthesis and transpiration comes from the absorption of water in the soil, and the amount of water absorbed by the root system is closely related to the soil temperature, so during the planting process, soil temperature and soil moisture (water) are important factors for crop growth. an important factor. The selection range of the soil temperature and humidity sensor is generally -20°C - +85°C, humidity 0 - 100%RH, working condition temperature -15°C - 60°C, humidity 10%RH - 80%RH. For those who need wireless transmission, long-distance transmission of soil temperature and humidity sensors can be selected.

2. Soil salinity detector

Soil salinity is an important indicator of healthy crop growth. Excessive soil salinity will lead to physiological drought in plants. Due to the toxic effect of ions in the soil, the normal metabolism of plants will be disrupted, resulting in disrupted plant growth. For the selection of soil salinity sensor, it is necessary to pay attention to the range of salinity: 0.01mol/L—0.3mol/L, conductance 0mS—20mS; working conditions: temperature -10°C—60°C, humidity 10%RH—90%RH.
