An ultrasonic weather station is a weather observation device that utilizes ultrasonic technology to measure meteorological elements. Once there is wind, the wind speed and direction cause small changes in the speed of ultrasonic propagation, because the speed of sound propagation in air is affected by temperature, while wind changes the actual path length of sound waves. By calculating the difference in signal transmission time between the four ultrasonic probes, the instantaneous wind speed and direction can be accurately calculated. This process requires temperature compensation of the speed of sound to ensure the accuracy of the data.

2. Measurement of other meteorological parameters: The ultrasonic weather station is not only limited to the measurement of wind speed and direction, but can also, depending on the configuration, conduct real-time observation of rainfall, air temperature, humidity, light, atmospheric pressure, PM2.5, PM10, noise and other meteorological elements.
