4G DTU provides serial communication interfaces, including RS232, RS485, RS422, etc., which are commonly used serial communication methods, and 4G DTUs are mostly designed to use serial data as a "transparent conversion" method, which means that 4G DTU can Convert the original data on the serial port into TCP/IP data packets for transmission without changing the original data communication content. Therefore, 4G DTU can be connected with various user equipments that use serial communication, and there is no need to make changes to the user equipment.

One of the advantages of the GPRS communication network is that it supports GPRS terminal devices to be permanently online. Therefore, typical 4G DTUs are designed to support the permanent online function. When there is no data communication, the mobile gateway will disconnect the connection between the DTU and the center, and the heartbeat packet is a small data packet sent by the DTU and the data center before the connection is disconnected to keep the connection from being disconnected), support automatic reconnection after disconnection , automatic redial and other features.

The serial port parameters of different user equipment are different. When the DTU is connected to the serial port of the user equipment, the DTU side should be set according to the actual parameters of the serial port of the user equipment to ensure the normal communication and reliable data transmission of the user equipment.

5) Support parameter configuration, save permanently

As a communication device, 4G DTU has a wide range of applications. In different applications, the IP address and port number of the data center, and the baud rate of the serial port are all different.
