NBL-S-THR Soil Temperature and Humidity Sensor, as an advanced measuring device combining high accuracy and high sensitivity, is designed for soil moisture monitoring. It adopts the innovative electromagnetic pulse technology, which is precisely transmitted to the special probe through the coaxial cable, and penetrates deep into the soil to directly measure the apparent dielectric constant of the soil, thus accurately calculating the real moisture content of the soil. This technology not only ensures fast and accurate measurements, but also greatly improves the stability and reliability of the sensor, maintaining excellent measurement performance even in complex soil environments containing fertilizers or metal ions.

NBL-S-THR soil temperature and humidity sensor core features:

High-accuracy measurement: through a precision algorithm to parse the reflected signal of the electromagnetic wave pulse, it realizes the accurate measurement of soil humidity in the range of 0 to 100%, with the error controlled within ±3%.

High resolution: soil moisture resolution up to 0.1%, temperature resolution up to 0.1℃, subtle changes can also be accurately captured.

This output form has the following features and advantages: 

1. Strong anti-interference ability: current signals compared to voltage signals in long-distance transmission is more resistant to signal attenuation caused by line resistance and external electromagnetic interference, to ensure the stability and accuracy of the signal. 

2. Self-powered features: in the two-wire system, the 4-20mA signal line as both the power line and the signal line, the sensor from the PLC or data collector to provide 12-24V DC power supply to obtain the working current, reducing the need for additional power lines, simplifying the wiring and reducing costs. 

3. Direct correspondence between linear output and measured value: In soil moisture sensors like NBL-S-THR, changes in soil moisture are directly converted to changes in 4-20mA current.

4. For example, when the soil humidity is 0%, the output current is close to 4mA; when the humidity reaches 100%, the output current is 20mA. current type (3-wire 4-20mA output) calculation formula:

Soil humidity R = (I-4 ) / (20-4) × 100%

Soil temperature T = (I-4) / (20-4) × 150 -50

where I is the current current reading and R is the calculated soil moisture value, ensuring intuitive and accurate measurements.
