Pyranometer Product Overview:

Welcome to the NiuBoL brand Pyranometer Total Solar Radiation Meter, a high-precision solar radiation measurement instrument designed based on the principle of thermoelectric induction. It is used in conjunction with various radiation loggers or radiation ammeters to accurately measure total solar radiation, reflected radiation, scattered radiation, infrared radiation, visible light, ultraviolet radiation, long-wave radiation and many other types of radiation. It is suitable for solar energy measurement in the fields of solar energy utilization, meteorology, agriculture, aging of building materials and atmospheric pollution, etc. It is an important tool for researchers, meteorologists, architects and solar professionals.

I. Pyranometer Product Principle and Characteristics

The NiuBoL Pyranometer Total Solar Radiation Meter utilizes a wire-wound plated multi-junction thermopile as the core sensing element, coated with a highly absorbent black coating to ensure efficient capture of solar radiation. Below are its core principles and features:

1. Accurate measurement: the hot contact is located on the sensing surface and the cold junction is located in the body, the temperature difference potential generated by the hot and cold contacts is proportional to the solar irradiance within the linear range to realize accurate measurement.

2. Anti-interference design: double-layer glass cover effectively reduces the impact of air convection on the radiation meter, the inner cover intercepts the infrared radiation from the outer cover itself, ensuring accurate and reliable measurement data.

3. Wide range of applications: It is suitable for measuring the total solar radiation in the spectral range of 0.3-3μm, and can also measure the solar radiation incident on the sloping surface, as well as reflected and scattered radiation.

4. Advanced sensing technology: At its core is a carefully crafted multi-junction thermopile coated with a highly absorbent black layer that captures the full width of solar radiation. The temperature difference between the heated sensing surface and the internal cold junction generates a proportional electrical signal, ensuring a linear response to incident radiation.

Pyranometer Product Maintenance                                   

1. It is not allowed to dismantle or loosen the filter, so as not to affect the measurement accuracy. Open or close the metal cover with special care, because the filter is valuable and fragile. Filter should be kept clean, often with a soft cloth or fur wipe test;    

2. No water should be allowed to enter the filter hood, and there should be no water vapor condensation inside the hood. To often check whether the desiccant in the desiccator becomes damp (from blue to red or white), otherwise it should be replaced in time or the desiccant will be taken to the oven to bake dry to make it back to the blue before use;

3、Pyranometer sensor waterproof performance is good, generally short time or precipitation can not be covered. But heavy rainfall (snow, ice, etc.) or a longer period of rain, in order to protect the radiation table, the observer should be according to the specific circumstances of the best cover, that is, after the rain stops to open the cover;

4, Pyranometer sensor used for more than two years, its sensitivity must be recalibrated by the manufacturer or measurement department.
