NBL-S-THR Soil Moisture Detection Sensor is a soil moisture measurement instrument with high accuracy and sensitivity. It adopts advanced Time Domain Reflection (TDR) technology to accurately calculate the apparent dielectric constant of the soil by transmitting electromagnetic pulses and measuring their propagation speed and reflection characteristics in the soil, so as to obtain the real moisture content of the soil. This instrument is not only fast and accurate, but also stable and reliable, not affected by chemical fertilizers and metal ions in the soil, which makes it an ideal choice for soil moisture monitoring, water-saving irrigation, greenhouses, grass pastures, quick soil measurement and other fields.
TDR (Time Domain Reflectometry) technology is a method to measure the characteristics of the medium by utilizing the propagation speed and reflection characteristics of electromagnetic waves in the medium. In NBL-S-THR Soil Moisture Detection Sensor, electromagnetic wave pulses are transmitted to the probe through the coaxial cable and then into the soil medium. Due to differences in soil moisture, the propagation speed and reflection characteristics of the electromagnetic wave change. By measuring these changes, the sensor calculates the apparent dielectric constant of the soil and thus the true moisture content of the soil.
